QUESTION POSED ON: 07 July 2004 I run an interactive SQL Server 2000 application. It works fine, but when
there was no customer activity (mouse click or keystroke) for 20 to 30 minutes, after that customer tries to continue data input, the applicaton freezes
for 30 seconds and works normally after that.
The OS is Windows XP. I use a VPN to connect to other SQL Servers over the
Web (partial replication). The problem disappears when VPN is off, but
persists when I just don't use replication. Is it possible that SQL
Server reactivates after the lull and is trying to find something over
the VPN?
